DIRT CAKE

This fun cake can be made in a large flower pot or 2 small ones. I usually use a 9x13 casserole dish. Ingredients: 1 20 ounce package of chocolate sandwich cookies (oreos),
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
1 cup confectioners sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 (3.9 ounce)packages instant chocolate pudding mix
3 cups of milk
1 (12 oz) container fromzen whipped topping, thawed
15 gummy worms
Directions:
1.Put cookies in a food processor to make fine crumbs-set aside
2. In a large bowl, combine the butter, cream cheese, confectioners sugar and vanilla flavoring. Beat on low speed to mix then beat on med. speed until smooth.
Add the chocolate pudding mix and milk to the bowl. Beat on low to combine.
3.Fold the whipped topping into the pudding mixture with a rubber spatula.
4. Assemble in the ungreased pan or pot: first layer-1/3 cookie crumbs;second layer- 1/2 fo the pudding mixture; third layer-1/3 crumbs....and so on.
5.Tuck the ends of the gummy worms in the cookie or "dirt". Be sure there are enough worms so that everyone gets a worm with their piece. Refrigerate for about 3 hours.
Serve with a clean garden towel or toy sand shovel if serving out of the flower pot.
